Our Team

At TestCrackers, we are passionate about teaching and about offering students the best value for their money.  Meet the members of our team below:

Pri Sharad

Pri joined TestCrackers as an online tutor in 2017. She has earned 99th percentile scores on the GRE and GMAT and has worked for GMAC reviewing official guide questions. Her 11 years of experience include designing curricula and teaching intensive (20-hr per week) GRE and GMAT courses at an international school, as well as teaching high school physics and math. She takes immense satisfaction in helping her students excel, and has devoted herself to breaking down the GRE barrier for graduate applicants. She also specializes in all things GMAT, and has made it her mission to help students navigate this logical, nuanced, quirky test.

In addition to standardized exams, Pri has a passion for science. She earned a B.S. in Chemical Physics from the Rice University Honors Scholar program, and won many prestigious, national and international awards/scholarships in high school: Junior Science and Humanities Symposium ($20,000 scholarship), Intel Science Talent Search, and the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair, among others. In college, she won a research award for her work in nanotechnology, and earned a grant to write about STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) for high school students.

Isaac Puglia

Isaac Puglia has worked with over a thousand students across a variety of disciplines in 19 years of teaching professionally. From his early years as an academic mentor for struggling middle school students, through his college days spent shepherding beginning drummers into the world of music, young entrepreneurs into the world of business, and novice programmers into the world of bits and bytes, all the way through his decade-long SAT, ACT, and GMAT teaching practices, Isaac has refined his approach to unlocking others’ true potential, particularly on standardized tests. He believes that his struggles to prepare for these exams himself and his ultimate achievement of a 99th percentile score have helped him develop unique insight into the most efficient route to success for all types of students, from the most challenged to the most gifted.

Isaac works hard to ensure his students have access to the best methods available, understand the learning process on a deep level, and are confident they can achieve their goals. He also loves making music, starting new businesses, and working toward a world in which everyone is empowered to be who they want to be.

Andrew Pappin

Andrew Pappin discovered his love for math early in life after his mom gave him a few algebra problems to keep him from bothering her. Mom's master plan didn't work: he kept coming back for more and more. From then on, Andrew saw math as an endless source of exciting puzzles to be solved. When he got to college, he decided to keep exploring mathematical puzzles as a math major. In 2002, he graduated from UCLA with a 4.0 math GPA.

After graduation, Andrew taught mathematics at a summer math program for children. He realized that he was able to teach in creative new ways that helped students learn quickly and easily. This must have sparked something in him, because he has continued to teach and tutor mathematics for the last 16 years. He achieved a perfect score on his first attempt on both the GMAT quant section (51) and the GRE quant section (170).

Andrew was hired by TestCrackers in 2017, and he is excited to keep his mathematical journey alive as a GMAT and GRE Quant teacher.

When she’s not teaching, Lynne can be found running, biking, or doing crossword puzzles.

Anisa Ray

Anisa Ray joined TestCrackers as a quant/verbal instructor in 2017, which marked her seventh year of teaching standardized tests. After earning her B.A. in Rhetoric at UC Berkeley, Anisa spent several years tutoring the SAT before deciding to expand her instructional horizons by earning 99th percentile scores on the LSAT and the GMAT as well as a perfect score on the GRE. While she never planned to develop a career in test prep, Anisa realized over time that nothing else quite matched the rewarding nature of supporting students in achieving the understanding, confidence, and educational opportunity that come from a great learning experience.

Along the way, Anisa also spent some time working in financial planning and investment management. As it turns out, the math you learn for the GMAT and GRE comes in very handy for all kinds of real-world situations! Should you rent or buy? If you stop paying rent and buy pizza with that money instead, what is your percentage increase in pizza consumption? The applications are endless, and Anisa is always happy to talk about them with you. Outside of teaching, Anisa loves to draw, paint, and philosophize about the meaning of life.

Martin Cinke

Martin Cinke joined TestCrackers in 2016, but has been teaching and tutoring test prep for over 12 years at a national test prep company in the area. Besides teaching and tutoring, he was also responsible for training incoming teachers. In fact, Marty met Yuri when Yuri was one of Marty’s GMAT trainees (and yes, Yuri did pass…..with flying colors!). Marty has also contributed to many course manuals and materials; you can find his name in some of the GMAT and GRE books in the library.

Before finding his passion for helping students achieve their graduate school goals, Marty spent over 8 years in the marketing and product management industries at various startups in the Bay Area, and also worked as a research scientist at NASA Ames. Marty earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from the Santa Clara Leavey School of Business. When he’s not teaching, Marty enjoys playing basketball, tennis, or poker; watching hockey or anything Chicago-related (Chicago PD, Fire, etc); and masquerading as a foodie.

Seth Capron

Seth Capron joined TestCrackers in 2014 as a GMAT specialist, but quickly became a partner. He designed both the GMAT and GRE verbal curricula for TestCrackers and teaches and tutors both exams. Known for his energy and ability to get to the heart of difficult logic problems, Seth uses his 16 years of teaching experience to create lively, enjoyable classes.

He is a 99th percentile scorer on both the GMAT and GRE (1st attempt), received a perfect 6 on the essays for both exams, and has an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management. Strangely enough, directly before TestCrackers (a school that offers classes on nights and weekends), he launched Night School, a bay-area late-weekend-night transportation company that closed due to regulatory issues. Before that, he consulted with other early stage companies, and way back in 2003 he founded a non-profit in Houston, TX called Workshop Houston. Seth tries to apply tools from his previous work to understanding how TestCrackers can provide the best student experience possible and working to make it a reality. He was recently voted "TestCrackers instructor you are most likely to be able to beat in ping pong."
